Fantastic characters make this play work

I recently saw a production of this in Raleigh, NC. The cast I saw was well committed to their characters and sold the heck out of them. Each of their causes/motivations are at frequent odds with their relationships and things heat up pretty quickly. The dialogue is sharp and well-written. My favorite line was an explanation of some questionable old scientific data- that there were ten scientists with one Commodore 64 to share between them. Overall, a great play.

Interesting play - will see it live

I will see this play performed live at the Burning Coal Theater in Raleigh, NC. I hope the live performance "livens up" the dialogue. I thought the dialogue got rather tedious at times. I believe I saw that the Burning Coal performance is the American debut of the play.

Love the Play - its Sorkin-esque

I love Richard Bean's writing in general and "The Heretic" in particular. Snappy, fun dialogue building to a cathartic ending. Who could ask for anything more?
